Invest in Shalom Village - Invest in the Future

Help us honour our Fathers and our Mothers AT HOME at Shalom

Shalom Village is a not for profit organization that owes its existence to the generosity of our many supporters. We are fortunate to be part of a community where investing in the future by sharing for the common good is seen as an important responsibility. We pledge to respect our partners in the following ways:

  • We will inform you of our mission and how we intend to make use of your investment.

  • You will have access to our most recent audited financial statements

  • Your investment will be acknowledged in an appropriate way

  • Your investment will be used for the intended purpose.

  • Your personal information is confidential. Our mailing list will not be shared.

The support of the community was instrumental to making the original Shalom Village a reality, and it is just as important today as we continue our capital fund raising campaign to help pay for our newly expanded facility. To make this happen, we need the support of community minded individuals like yourself. Your investment in Shalom Village would add value to the lives of hundreds of frail seniors, and can be seen as an investment in the future. Every dollar that reduces our mortgage is a dollar that can be redirected into care.

Of course, your donation will be appropriately recognized on our donor wall as well as in other possible ways. Many naming opportunities exist for those wishing to pay tribute to the people that have special significance to them. We will work with you to determine the most appropriate way to do this.

If you are interested in helping Shalom Village "Honour our Fathers and our Mothers", please speak to any staff or board member, or call Joan Ulrich at (905)529-1613, ext. 231.

Join the Chai Club

Shalom Village is excited to announce the launch of a new membership opportunity known as The Chai Club. Members of The Chai Club will help us go beyond the minimum care standards and provide the home that our loved ones so deserve. Membership donations are made through convenient automatic monthly payments and support increased staffing levels, fine kosher dining and many other special programs and activities.

Membership in the Chai Club is tax deductible and comes with benefits including a beautiful lapel pin, an invitation to special “Chai Club” events and a club newsletter.

For More information about the Chai Club please call Joan Ulrich at (905)529-1613, ext. 231, or by email to chai@shalomvillage.on.ca.

Send Shalom Village Tribute Cards

Are you looking for a special way to let your friends and family know how you feel about them? Would you like a thoughtful way to express condolences to those who have suffered losses, or to recognize accomplishments and special occasions?

Shalom Village will send beautiful tribute cards on your behalf to acknowledge life's milestones and special occasions. Many community members send our cards for births, deaths, Bar Mitzvahs, Bat Mitzvahs, graduations, marriages, anniversaries, birthdays, holidays and holy days and other significant occasions. Cards are sent directly to the recipient and include your own personal message.

We can also send cards from your mail list for Rosh Hashana, Hannukah and other holidays. Your Christmas list can also be accommodated!

When a loved one passes away you may wish to consider requesting that Shalom Village memorial cards be sent in lieu of flowers.

Cards are available in  a variety of denominations including Chai, Double Chai, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Postage is included and payment can be made by cash, cheque, Visa.or Mastercard. All it takes is a phone call to Joan Ulrich to set your card in motion.  Joan can be reached at (905) 529-1613 ext. 231 or by e-mail at cards@shalomvillage.on.ca.

Shalom Village resident artist Jim Kennelly has donated some of his original art to be used on cards. You can purchase lovely gift sets featuring Jim’s beautiful drawings and paintings. These cards are very elegantly packaged and are suitable for notes as well as special occasions.

Funds raised by card sales help us make sure that every day at Shalom Village is a day well lived. Many of the wonderful things that make home at Shalom special would not be possible without your support. Please give Joan a call. She would love to hear from you!
