Accreditation Canada review confirms that Shalom Village meets or exceeds all 522 National Standards established by the Canadian Council on Health Facilities Accreditation
Shalom Village is accredited by Accreditation Canada, an independent not-for-profit organization that develops standards for healthcare and provides tools to measure and evaluate outcomes. All of the top healthcare organizations in Canada are accredited. In their report presented to a packed audience of Shalom Village staff and residents the surveyors from Accreditation Canada reviewed the evidence they had found that clearly demonstrates the ongoing excellence, creativity and innovation that is Shalom Village. They stated "you have an outstanding clinical team and are commended for all that you offer." Most importantly, the surveyors stated what is clear at Shalom Village is the "love that the staff give to the residents" People are "truly AT HOME at Shalom Village". Congratulations to each and every member of the Shalom Village team. This survey reviewed the care and services we provide day to day - not just on the moment of the survey. Your dedication to excellence is remarkable and visible! Thank you as well to our Accreditation Team co-leaders, Bob Deans and Jeanette O'Leary, whose vision and hard work made our work so evident to the surveyors.
